💙🖤 END OF WATCH | 08.04.2026 🖤💙
Today, the law enforcement family suffered another heartbreaking loss.
A 30-year-old Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer and U.S. Marine veteran was killed in the line of duty after responding to reports of an armed individual near East Tropicana Avenue. Despite the heroic efforts of fellow officers, Clark County Fire Department, EMS, and the medical staff at UMC, the officer succumbed to his injuries. The suspect was also killed during the exchange of gunfire.
Every time an officer pins on a badge, they accept the possibility that they may not make it home. Today, one family received the phone call that every law enforcement family fears.
From all of us at Code3News, we extend our deepest condolences to the officer’s family, friends, and every member of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. We also keep the officer’s brothers and sisters in blue, the first responders, and everyone affected by this tragedy in our thoughts.
Rest easy, Officer. Your watch has ended, but your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
