BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. — Bullhead 4 Wheelers combined a day of off-road recreation with helping local desert wildlife during a Jeep run on Friday, September 11.
Before heading onto the trails, the group began the day with a moment of silence honoring the victims and survivors of the September 11 terrorist attacks. Bullhead 4 Wheelers President Bernie Uszcienski led the remembrance before the group began its run into the Nevada desert.
Members traveled by Jeep to three separate wildlife guzzlers, delivering more than 150 gallons of much-needed water.
Wildlife guzzlers are watering basins designed to provide an important water source for desert animals, particularly in areas where natural water can be difficult to find.
The run gave members an opportunity to enjoy some much-needed time off-road while also providing a direct benefit to wildlife living in the desert surrounding the Bullhead City and Laughlin area.
Bullhead 4 Wheelers regularly organizes off-road runs throughout the region's desert trails. In addition to recreational rides, outings like Friday's run give members an opportunity to help care for and support the desert areas they enjoy.
Those interested in learning more about Bullhead 4 Wheelers are welcome to attend a club meeting or join the group on a ride as a guest to see what the organization is about.
More information about upcoming meetings and runs can be found through the Bullhead 4 Wheelers Facebook group.
