BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. — A Bullhead City garage fire brought Bullhead City Fire Department crews to the 1500 block of Opal Lane Monday night after the fire was reported around 8:14 p.m.
Before firefighters arrived, the homeowner's husband was using a garden hose in an effort to control the fire inside the garage.
When Bullhead City Fire arrived on scene, firefighters pulled a hose line to the garage and extinguished the remaining fire. Crews then pulled down portions of drywall to check for hidden fire and ensure the flames had not spread further into the structure.
The fire was successfully contained to the garage.
Several Bullhead City Fire units responded to the incident, with Battalion 7, Engine 711 and Engine 761 remaining on scene as other responding units were cleared.
Thanks to the homeowner's efforts before firefighters arrived and the quick work of Bullhead City Fire crews, the fire was kept from spreading beyond the garage.
Great work by Bullhead City Fire Department crews bringing the incident under control and checking the structure for any remaining fire.
The cause of the fire has not been confirmed at this time.
